Our school celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday 16th May. Traditionally, we started with Moleben Prayers in the Cathedral, followed by a concert, a cake lottery, flowers for a mum with the lucky ticket and afternoon tea prepared by the Parent Committee. The concert was a wonderful surprise. All students took part in a play titled, “How the animals prepared for Mother’s Day”. The roles included Australian bush animals set in a ‘Bush School’, with lots of birds and butterflies singing catchy tunes.
We also had a presentation of the winners of the Ukrainian Language Competition held at Monash University 21/3/2015. The guest presenter was Mr Mykytenko, a director of the Ukrainian Cooperative Dnister, which sponsored the competition. |
