Mother’s Day was celebrated at our Parish School on Saturday 13-May-2017.
Following the already well-established tradition the celebration consisted of a moleben prayers in the Cathedral, followed by a concert in the upstairs hall.
This year the Ukrainian community is commemorating 70 years of post-war Ukrainian migration to Australia. Our concert was dedicated to our first migrant mothers and grandmothers.
Parents Committee prepared tea, coffee and sweets, and each mother and grandmother received a chocolate and a lucky ticket. One of those tickets brought a bouquet of flowers for a lucky mum.
Teacher and a professional baker Luda Melnychuk baked and decorated a wonderful cake, which was a great prize for a lucky daughter as a gift to her mother.
We invite you review the photos and the video of the concert.
