On March 17th, Bishop Bryan Bayda from Canada visited our school. 2018 is a year of youth, and Bishop Bayda has a vocation to teach children about Christ and travels around the world with this mission.

Bishop Bryan spent half a day at our school. He was present on our assembly, where students of 6/7/8 grade Julian, Nastya and Theresa welcomed the Bishop, told him about our school and its history. All schoolchildren together recited Shevchenkos' verse "Learn, My Brethren" and sang the song "Bow to you Taras", which they learnt for the community celebration to commemorate Kobzar's memory. In memory of the visit to our school, Mrs. Maria presented Bishop Bryan with the school magazine "Promin" and an Easter egg drawn by Sister Macryna. At the end, Bishop Bryan showed everyone a trick - pulled out coins from the students hair, it was a surprise to everyone. Lessons started after the assembly, and Bishop Bryan first came to our graduates, students of the 12th grade.

Later, Bishop Bryan spent an hour with 6/7/8 grade. Bishop Bryan showed us pictures of his childhood, talked about himself, his way to God, his missions around the world, and showed various interesting meetings with famous priests (the Pope, Patriarch Sviatoslav and others), and interesting places where he visited various continents. Bishop Bryan has a beautiful voice and a talent to write songs and music to them. He played on a guitar and sang two songs for us, silence reigned in the room, and the students were enchantingly listened. But the bell rang and it was time to go for a break. Bishop Bryan commended his disciples to develop their talent, which Christ loves and understands us all in everything.

At the end, Bishop Brian showed the students a trick and again a smiles lit on everyone's faces.

We thank Bishop Brian for his visit and are inviting to come again.
