On Saturday, August 12, the President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugen Czolij and his wife Hania, and the chairman of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, Stefan Romaniv, visited our school and took part in our morning assembly.

Eugene Czolij spoke about the role and mission of the Ukrainian World Congress and how the Ukrainian language unites Ukrainians outside Ukraine all over the world, whether they live in Australia, Argentina, Canada, Italy, France, the United States or many other countries.

Then Eugene Czolij asked the students whether they like the Ukrainian Parish School and why. The vast majority of students answered that they do like the school and like to learn Ukrainian language, history and culture.

And in the end, we all honoured the victims of the Holodomor with a minute of silence.
